AMC Theatres: The gates are reopening for the public

A.M.C. Entertainment is an American movie theater chain. Its headquarter is in Kansas and it is one of the world’s largest movie theater chains. The entertainment group was founded in the year 1920 by Maurice, Edward, and Barney Dubinsky. It had the largest share in the U.S.A. movie market ahead of Regal and Cinemark. Also, it has 2,866 screens in 360 theaters of Europe and 7,967 screens in 620 theaters of America’s United States.

Due to the pandemic outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, everything was shut down to maintain social distancing. From 18 March 2020, all the theater chain of A.M.C. Entertainment were closed for the public. During this time of despair and bad market, A.M.C. was on the edge of going bankrupt. The company has faced a lot of trouble with the creditors, who urged the company to file bankruptcy in the pandemic’s terrible time.

Fortunately, A.M.C. is way too far from the trouble of bankruptcy with some dedicated and deep-pocketed investors, and the gates are reopening for the public soon in 2021. All the great thanks to the investors and the cash infusion of 920$ million.

The company expects the money to be enough for floating in the year 2021. Things would go better if the theater-going people came back to watch the movies and if the landlords lower their rents.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the theater business of the U.S.A. was on the verge of declining, especially A.M.C. Fortunately, in 2021, it seems like the theater business will revive as Warner Bros decided to release the big titles on the streaming platform HBO Max and also on the theaters simultaneously.
