Diffeerent variants of coronavirus are emerging from different part of the world. Recently so-called Delta variant has concerned many experts and doctors around the world. Delta variant is also called B.1617.2, first detected in India. The variant is rapidly spreading across the United Kingdom and is the dominant trait in 60% of new cases.

Delta variant has ravaged and is rapidly moving toward western countries. Dr. Anthony Fauci warns his fellow authorities that these variants should not spread in American states. He further said that this variant is in more than 6% of cases in the USA alone. However, according to the CDC, this variant accounts for more than 18% of the samples taken from the new patients.

Fauci, along with other country authorities, is urging people to get vaccinated before another variant spreads. Delta variant, which was first documented in October 2020 in Indian states. The variant was named Delta after the new naming system established by World Health Organization.

According to the WHO, delta variant is detected in almost 60 countries across the globe. Various health agencies classified this variant as concerning because it is highly transmissible and could lead to serious hospitalization. If more strains rapidly grow like this, there will be more strain on health resources and ultimately lead to death.

All the symptoms of these variant areas similar to the original variant, just more severe. According to the press, the variant is less responsive to medications and vaccines. The indications include stomach pain, loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, joint pain, and hearing loss.

Doctors from various hospitals warn that hearing loss is a severe symptom; severe stomach ache and uncontrollable nausea is detected in new patients. There will much more complications and need oxygen during the treatment, and the survival chances are very low.

“We need more scientific research to analyze if these newer clinical presentations are linked to B.1.617 or not,” Abdul Ghafur, an infectious disease physician at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai.

Indian doctors say that Indians have severe digestive issues because delta variant was detected in most cases in India compared to other countries.
