First Alert Weather Day : Severe Storms And Hailstones!!

National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued warnings. There may be severe storms and baseball-sized hailstones in some parts of southeast America. It is the first weather day with chances of severe storms accompanied by rain and thunder. Some areas of southeast America received light rain, while some inland places had irregular rainfall.

The national weather service has rated the upcoming conditions as severe that is three out of five. More risk-prone areas are Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Along with these cities, some parts of Montgomery, Alabama, Columbus and Savannah in Georgia, and Tallahassee, Florida are under enhanced risked zones.

“Widely scattered to scattered severe thunderstorms are expected on Saturday across parts of the Southeast. All severe hazards appear possible including large to very large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes,” according to the storm center.

Series of thunderstorms will start from Saturday morning and move towards south Alabama. The most worrying thing would be damaging thunderstorms intermix with tornadoes. The Centre has issued warnings for the south of Alabama and southern Georgia, where the storms are coming quickly. 

Second Round With Rains And Hailstorms

The second round of storms will bring more destructions with more rains and hazards. Southern Georgia may have a chance of strong tornadoes in the afternoon, and they may continue till the evening. Alabama residents may encounter golf-sized hailstorms in the afternoon. While parts of Georgia and Carolinas will be affected by the evening. The severe storms may continue till the night, so all the residents are alerted to keep checking the news forecast and other mandatory details for safety.

There is an “elevated flood threat for creeks and smaller streams, especially where storms may track over the same areas,” the weather service office in Atlanta said.

Along with this drastic weather, some states of America may witness severe flash floods. There may be about two to four inches of rainfall in the southeast areas.
