Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently shared their heartbreaking news about the loss of their baby. Chrissy Teigen announced the death of her baby on Instagram, on Wednesday. The couple revealed that Teigen faced some complications in her pregnancy which led to this mishap. She revealed that doctors ‘were never able to stop the bleeding’ despite ‘bags and bags of blood transfusions’.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” Chrissy wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that saw her in tears with her hands joined in prayers in her hospital bed.
She went on to reveal that although they usually waited until the baby was born to name them, Chrissy said “We, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
John Legend reposted Teigen’s post and captioned it as “We love you, Jack”.
The couple released a set of photos, including one that saw them weeping as they held Jack swaddled in a blanket following the miscarriage.
She further wrote thanking all her fans and friends for supporting them throughout, “We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.”
Earlier on Monday, Chrissy said she was ‘about halfway through her pregnancy’, which is around 20 – 24 weeks.
She concluded, “But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
Chrissy shared her grief about the miscarriage in a tweet that read, “Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real?”
