Selena Gomez Empowers Her Fans And Followers By Showing Off Her Kidney Transplant Scar In a Blue Swimsuit!

Selena Gomez recently took the internet by storm by posting a picture of her in a sizzling blue swimsuit, flaunting her 2017 scar. This renowned singer, puts out a heartfelt post about her insecurity in front of her 193 million Instagram followers. She revealed how insecure and underconfident she was about her scar earlier, but now, this 28-year old has finally taken the big step and accepted her scar as a part of herself. She found this perfect opportunity of accepting herself in front of her friends and followers while promoting her friend’s new swimsuit line. Gomez wore a blue swimsuit from the brand and posed it in a way making the scar visible on her right inner thigh.

“When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar,” she wrote as a caption. “I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I’m proud of that.”

She further congratulated her friend, Theresa Marie Mingus, co-founder of La Mariette, over the launch of her latest swimsuit wear, while adding “whose message is just that…all bodies are beautiful.”

Following her post, she received tons of love and positivity from her fans and friends on Instagram comments.

Selena, who went through a kidney transplant after lupus impaired her kidneys, first revealed it in 2017, thanking her friend Francia Raisa, wo voluntarily donated her kidney to the singer.

“I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health,” she said in the post. Speaking of Francia, Selena said, “She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”
