Toby McKeehan is better known by his stage name TobyMac. He is a Christan hip-hop recording artist, music producer, songwriter, and author. His net worth is estimated to be $13 million. Acting is his main source of income.

TobyMac Early Life –

Toby was born in the suburbs of Virginia (October 22, 1964). He discovered his love for contemporary music at a young age. He listened to rock, hip-hop, and rap. He was inspired by singer Sting. He graduated from a local high school and decided to pursue a career in music. He along with Michael Tait in 1987 formed a duo called DC Talk. They both went to high school together. They both went to Liberty University where they met Kevin Max Smith. Kevin also joined the duo.

TobyMac Career Life –

Toby along with Michael and Kevin released their first album, DC Talk, in 1989. It was a huge success and then they went for a nationwide tour. This earned them further mainstream exposure. In 1990 they released their 2nd album. Then their 3rd album Free at Last released. They appeared in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Their music presented fresh sounds and soulful. It is a mixture of grunge, contemporary Christian music, and rap. In 1995 Jesus Freak album released which was followed by Jesus Freak Tour. In 1998 Supernatural their last full-fledged album released. In the early 2000s, they parted away.

In 2001 Toby’s solo album Billboard Heatseekers released. The modern mixture of rap and grunge sounds became his signature. Many songs from the album Yours, Extreme Days and Get this Party Started were featured in various TV series and films. In 2004 he released Welcome to Diverse City. In 2007 album Portable Sounds released. His first live album as a solo artist was Transported and Alive released in 2008.

He released Christmas in Diverse City (2011), Dubbed and Freq’d: A Remix Project (2012), Eye on It (2012), This Is Not a Test (2015). He made appearances on TV talk shows.

TobyMac Personal Life –

Toby married Amanda in 1994. He has 5 children.
